In December's edition of Ales & Tales: Local Stories of Inspiration--an event that gathers the community around a local, inspiring story--we are going to sit down with one of the most bad ass, adventurous, and passionate founders I've ever met, Karly Siroky from Karma Design!
As she concisely puts it: "She bought an RV, left the cube farm and founded a company incubating brands committed to social and environmental good." And that's exactly what her marketing company, Karma Design does (all while she mostly lives a nomadic lifestyle traveling to some of the most amazing places in the world--currently residing in the Yukon).
"We take our work wherever we go, and go wherever the work takes us. In lieu of brick and mortar, we prefer evergreens and wind in our hair—by constantly moving we are constantly evolving. Our wanderlust makes us stronger creatives by exposing us to new ideas and connecting us more deeply to the causes we serve. We’ve discovered that seeking inspiration from people and planet is the secret to creating unique, long-lasting and impactful work."
Foundation is a community of curious and passionate adventurers. We come together to learn and laugh, explore and connect, and impact and grow. Check out all of our upcoming experiences here.
This event is in partnership with 1 Million Cups, an organization based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and engage with their communities over a million cups of coffee. The Seattle 1MC Community launched just a few months ago and is a free program designed to educate, engage and inspire entrepreneurs at weekly Wednesday morning pitch meetups. Through the power of volunteers, 1 Million Cups has grown to more than 180 communities.
