Are you intimidated by baking gluten free? Join Phebe Rossi, Founder of Nuflours Bakery on 15th Ave E. in Capitol Hill for a hands-on gluten free baking experience.
Phebe will show you techniques to create the most delicious gluten free cupcakes. She'll explain the difference in baking with gluten free flours vs. traditional wheat-based flour, and you'll learn how to properly mix, bake and decorate your own cupcakes.
You'll leave Nuflours with a 4-pack of cupcakes showcasing your design skills and two cupcake recipes: vanilla and chocolate, so you can replicate the process at home.
Nuflours was founded in 2011 where they began selling at a few farmers markets. Since then, they've grown to serving area cafes, restaurants and grocers, and made-to-order services, like wedding and birthday cakes.
The space you'll see at the event has been a bakery since the thirties and its still family owned!
Everything you receive there from them is produced in their certified gluten free facility using high-quality, verified non-GMO, and organic (when possible) ingredients. All the pastries are handmade by a team dedicated to quality and fresh gluten free goodness.
